Public Hearing for SR 434 at Ronald Reagan Boulevard Intersection Improvements

Seminole County and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) invite you to a public hearing regarding proposed intersection improvements on State Road (S.R.) 434 at Ronald Reagan Boulevard (County Road 427) from Milwee Avenue to Oleander Street (Financial Project ID: 439040‐1). Attendees can ask questions and/or make comments and project representatives will provide answers during the hearing. Comments and questions may also be e‐mailed to the Project Manager before or after the hearing.

Participants may attend in person by going to the City of Longwood Community Building located at 200 W. Warren Avenue, Longwood, FL 32750. To register for attending in person, please contact the project manager by using the contact information shown below. Attendees will be asked to follow all safety and sanitation guidelines as well as adhere to any local ordinances.


  • Add a second left turn lane to eastbound and westbound S.R. 434
  • Add a right turn lane from eastbound S.R. 434 to southbound Ronald Reagan Boulevard.
  • Install new bicycle lanes along S.R. 434 from Wilma Street to Ronald Reagan Boulevard.
  • Reconstruct and upgrade the existing traffic signal.


  • Construction is currently unfunded and there is no anticipated start date.
  • Construction Cost Estimate: $2.75 million


  • All work to be done in phases to reduce construction impacts
  • No full roadway closures will occur
  • Temporary lane closures will occur during non‐peak hours
  • Access to private property and businesses will be maintained at all times during construction.
