The Orlando Business Journal Honors "Best Places to Work"

Three Longwood based businesses were recognized for their efforts to provide an excellent environment for their workforce. Dix-Hite+Partners, J.Raymond Construction Corp. and Comprehensive Energy Services Inc. were recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as Best Places to Work in Central Florida. 

Micro-Companies (1-24 employees):

Dix-Hite+Partners - What has your company implemented to make it a Best Place to Work for employees?

Employees made it clear that they want to have a positive impact on their community by designing more public spaces, like plazas and streetscapes, parks, trails and ecological restoration projects. To do this, the staff created a plan to ramp up their marketing efforts by hiring an outside marketing consultant group. The company also has off-site team-building activities helping communities envision change through their Whatif campaign and help each other make improvements to their homes. 

Small Companies (25-40 employees)

J. Raymond Construction Corp. - What has your company implemented to make it a Best Place to Work for employees?

Coffee, company trips and holiday celebrations have added to the work environment at J. Raymond Construction.

Giant Companies (250+ employees)

Comprehensive Energy Services Inc. - What has your company implemented to make it a Best Place to Work for employees?

Enhanced paid-time off benefit allotted based on the employee’s years of service and level within the company; and a Fun Committee that routinely provides employees with free airfare and hotel accommodations anywhere in the continental U.S., and quarterly ice cream parties, putt-putt golf gatherings. As an off-site team-building activity, the company hosts an annual golf tournament.
