Another Ribbon Cutting! This time for Nan and Pop's Ice Cream Shop

A weekly family tradition for the Uribe family has become a dream realized as Kristi and Jesse Uribe open up Nan and Pop's Ice Cream Shop at 351 North Ronald Reagan Blvd. (across from the clock tower).

Kristi and Jesse Uribe have called Longwood their home for over 25 years. In this time, they have raised 4 children and witnessed the birth of their 7 beautiful grandchildren. Jesse has operated a successful security alarm company based in Longwood for over 25 years. However, ice cream has always been a weekly occurrence in the Uribe household, but they, as well as other Longwood residents, always have had to travel to neighboring city’s to find it. Longwood has been without an ice cream parlor for close to 30 years. Once the nest was empty, Kristi knew it was her turn to make a difference in the community. They then decided to open up Nan & Pop’s Ice Cream Shop even through the hardships of Covid-19. They persevered and had a successful grand opening on the July 4, 2020 and the official Ribbon Cutting shortly thereafter! There is nothing they love more than their beautiful grandchildren and this shop is solely dedicated to them. Each one of Nan & Pop’s bubble creations is named after each unique child. "We adore our wonderful community." Kristi and Jesse hope that Nan & Pop’s brings you as much joy as the memories they made with their family. They thank you and look forward to serving each and every one of you!
