Are you 50 or over, or a caregiver to an elderly person, and a City of Longwood resident? If so, Longwood needs your input to help us understand what is important to you and what services or improvements are needed to make the City a more age-friendly community!
As part of the City's participation in the AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities, Longwood is working with various organizations to improve the quality of lives of our older citizens and the entire community by creating an Age-Friendly Action Plan. A key component of that action plan is direct feedback from our residents on the issues and concerns facing our citizens including mobility, housing, and accessibility. Please take a few minutes to complete this survey by clicking here.
The AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities is an affiliate of the World Health Organization’s Age-Friendly Cities and Communities Program, an international effort launched in 2006 to help cities prepare for rapid population aging and the parallel trend of urbanization. The program has participating communities in more than 20 nations, as well as 10 affiliates representing more than 1,000 communities.
