City Staff is preparing for Hurricane Irma’s potential impact on Longwood. We have updated our City website with an emergency alert banner.
Sandbag Operations
Begin TOMORROW, Wednesday September 6th until Sunday, September 10th from 7:00am to 7:00pm (weather permitting). Public Works will be offering 10 sandbags per household to any Seminole County resident. Please bring a shovel. The Longwood Public Works building is located at 907 E SR 434 (behind Acme comics). Shelter Information

**Special Needs: Residents with special needs that may need sheltering assistance should register with Seminole County Emergency Management at 407-665-5102 or complete the Seminole County Special Needs Registration Form.
School Information
No school closing information is available at this time however SCPS is closely monitoring Hurricane Irma. The district will send messages to parents by phone, email, and will update their website and social media pages as needed regarding any impact on future school operations.

***High School Football***
All Friday night football games will be played on Thursday night. This includes all home games and any away out of county games. Fr/JV games will either be played on Wednesday or rescheduled to a later date.
