TEMPORARY LOSS OF SERVICE/PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE-UPDATE
TO: RESIDENTS LOCATED WITHIN SHADOW HILL ON MARGO LANE
The City of Longwood experienced a temporary outage due to a broken water main. This has since been repaired, however, the City is issuing a precautionary boil water notice for the residents of Margo Lane in the Shadow Hill Subdivision.
THEREFORE, AS A PRECAUTION, WE ADVISE THAT ALL WATER USED FOR DRINKING, COOKING, MAKING ICE, BRUSHING TEETH, OR WASHING DISHES SHOULD BE BOILED. A ROLLING BOIL OF ONE MINUTE IS SUFFICIENT. AS AN ALTERNATIVE BOTTLED WATER MAY BE USED.
THIS "PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE" WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL SAMPLES HAVE BEEN TAKEN AND A BACTERIOLOGICAL SURVEY SHOWS THAT THE WATER IS SAFE TO DRINK. NOTICES WILL BE DELIVERED TO RESIDENTS WHEN THE NOTICE HAS BEEN LIFTED AND POSTED ON LONGWOODS SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES.
