At the September 6, 2023, City Commission Meeting, the Longwood City Commission presented Daniel Parker "Danny,", General Manager of Sports Mazda North, located at 400 North U.S. Highway 17/92, with the Business Person of the Month Award for September 2023.
Danny started selling cars for Central Florida Lincoln Mercury in 1995. He then moved to Seminole Ford when it was on 17/92 and Lake Mary Boulevard. His first shot at management was with Bill Heard Chevrolet as a Finance Manager. He progressed quickly, formed a company with his friend, and traveled the United States consulting with dealerships on maximizing their profits. He returned to the traditional car business when he wanted to spend more time at home. He was with Corey Fairbanks Mazda for three years and then teamed up with Jay Mealey. Twelve years later, they purchased Cory Fairbanks Mazda, now Sport Mazda North, where he is the General Manager.
Sport Mazda North is very transparent and not your typical car dealership. There is no need to come to the dealership. You can buy your next vehicle by text and email. They will work all the numbers over text or email, and when you are 100% satisfied, they email all the documents to be digitally signed, and your Mazda Expert will deliver your new or pre-owned vehicle to your doorstep. Their service has changed also; they video every inspection, so you get to see what the mechanic sees. Transparency and integrity are the keys to Sports Mazda North's success.
Sport Mazda North does a lot with One Heart for Women and Children. They support the City of Longwood and "Now Matters More," which is a nonprofit to help people with drug addiction. They have donated several printers to the Christian Tech Center here in Longwood. They help provide a scholarship for the Sanford MLK Foundation. They donate to the Pearly Mae Ford Foundation and Calvary Temple of Praise. Currently, they are doing a Teacher Supply Drive for Longwood Elementary and giving free oil changes to ALL Seminole County Public School Teachers. They plan on doing much more this year.
