Pre-Development Inquiry Meetings
In order to better serve the Longwood community, the City of Longwood Community Development Department holds weekly Pre-Development Inquiry Meetings with interested home and business owners to save time and money by identifying any issues early in the process.
This no-cost meeting includes the Development Review Team which includes Building, Planning, and Engineering staff in order to help you identify what you need to do to complete your project, including identifying and solving potential problems before you've had to spend a lot of money committing to a lease or paying engineers or architects. These meetings can be held with the aid of fully designed and engineered plans or without them for more conceptual discussions.
Schedule a Pre-Development Inquiry Session
To submit an application for a Pre-Development Inquiry session, please visit our on-line portal. If you do not yet have a SmartGov account, you will be prompted to create one. After creating an account, select "Apply Online" on the home page, then select "Planning and Zoning" on the drop-down menu, and then select "Pre-Development Inquiry Session" from the application list. You will then be able to enter what information you have about your project, and we will take it from there!
These meetings are held virtually via Zoom, meaning that you save on travel time for you and your team.
If you have any issues setting up an account or submitting the application, please contact planning@longwoodfl.org.
