Pre-Development Inquiry Meetings
In order to better serve the Longwood community, the City of Longwood Community Development Department holds weekly Pre-Development Inquiry Meetings with interested home and business owners to save time and money by identifying any issues early in the process.
This no-cost meeting will include representatives from the Planning and Building Divisions, Engineering, and the Fire Department, and will help identify the requirements and processes that will get projects moving in a fast and efficient manner.
These meetings can be held with the aid of fully designed and engineered plans or without them for more conceptual discussions. The point is to help get potential applicants in the room with the review team to discuss ideas, cost-saving strategies, and necessary items to consider face-to-face to save time and money for applicants.
Meeting Times
Pre-Development meetings are held every Thursday afternoon at 2:30 P.M. and 3:15 P.M. Applications must be submitted by 3:00 P.M. Friday of the week prior to the desired meeting date. Appointments are limited to 45 minutes. In the event that no times are available for the upcoming week, applications will be scheduled for the next available meeting date.
