City of Longwood

The Utility Billing Division is responsible for billing and receiving payments for water, sewer and residential garbage service. They also provide meter reading and handle inquiries about the utility services provided.   You can reach our office Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 407-260-3470.

Starting New Service

Setting up a new account is as easy as stopping by our offices, filling out an application for service, and making a deposit.

• The residential deposit can range anywhere from $50 - $100, depending on the services provided.
• For each new account, there is a $15 set up fee required.
• Services we provide are water, sewer and residential garbage pick up.

Billing

All city utility bills are mailed out by the 1^st of each month. Bills are due by the 15^th. All payments received after the due date will be assessed a late fee of $5 or 10% of the bill, whichever is greater.

To Stop Service

To cancel utility service, please contact our customer service representative at (407)260-3470. Please provide 24 hours notice.

Garbage Collection

The City of Longwood provides garbage collection to all residential homes located within the city limits. The service area is divided into three sections. Each area has its own collection schedule.

• Garbage Company: Waste Pro 407-774-0800

• Yard trash is collected on Wednesday city-wide. Please place your trash on the curb prior to 7am for collection.

• Holiday Pick-up Schedule: Collection will not be made on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. Collections that would normally occur on these holidays shall be rescheduled on the next regularly scheduled collection day. Recycling collections shall be rescheduled to coincide with the next regularly scheduled solid waste collection day.
• Rates:

             Curb Side Service: $16.39

             Side Yard Pick-up: $25.68

             Handicap Service: $16.39 (Must provide doctor's note)
