Seminole County Public Schools
As of August 2005 the Seminole County Public School District is teaching 67,351 students with 4,741 teachers in 36 elementary schools, 11 middle schools and 9 high schools. (source: School  District  website)

The mission of the Seminole County Public School District is to ensure that all students acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to be successful in adult life. Their goal is to ensure that every child attending Seminole County Public Schools successfully meets or surpasses the Florida Sunshine State Standards, established by the Florida Department of Education. This can be achieved through the cooperative efforts of the teacher, school staff, the parent, and the student. Together we can help our students meet the challenge of today’s educational expectations.

Every school within the District offers art, music, physical education, and technology instruction.  As well as a guidance counselor, district social workers, psychologists, and school nurses. Also, elementary schools offer morning and/or after school child care programs, as well as full-day child care on Student Non-Attendance days and during the summer.
