9/11 Heroes Remembrance Ceremony - 9/11/2008 |

The City of Longwood cordially invites you to participate in the 4th Annual 9/11 Heroes Remembrance Ceremony dedicated to those who serve this nation and whose sacrifice sustains the enduring spirit of freedom. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 7:00 p.m., at the Heroes Monument located in front of the Longwood Police Department, 235 West Church Avenue, Longwood.

Coventry HOA: 1st Thursday of the month - 7:00 p.m. (Longwood Chambers)

The Landings HOA: 3rd Wednesday - 7:00 p.m. (Longwood Chambers)
Longwood Green HOA: Quarterly meetings - 7:00 p.m. (Longwood Community Bldg.)

Skylark Neighborhood Watch: 3rd Tuesday of the month - 7:00 p.m. (various locations)

The Longwood Police Department, in conjunction with the Safe Kids Seminole County Coalition, hosts car seat fitting stations with certified technicians as follows:

November 12, 2008 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
December 10, 2008 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

National Night Out - 2008 |

On Tuesday, August 5, 2008 the City of Longwood held it's annual National Night Out event at Candyland Park. The event was a huge success with attendees representing many communities throughout the City.
