Longwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery

Welcome to Longwood Memorial Gardens, a municipal cemetery owned and operated by the City of Longwood. Longwood Memorial Gardens was established in 1957 and is a five acre oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Longwood. Entrance

 

Currently, the City of Longwood is in the process of updating the landscaping in Longwood Memorial Gardens and it will feature live oaks, southern red cedar trees, crape myrtle trees, and Washington palms. Recently a water feature was added to the cemetery. In the future, the City of Longwood is looking at adding such features as a Scatter Garden, Columbaria,  Boulder Estates, and some additional shrubbery.

 

The cemetery operations are directed by the City Clerk, as provided for in City Code Chapter 26, Cemetery. The Longwood Memorial Gardens driveway is open from 8 a.m. until sunset, unless otherwise posted, Monday through Sunday. A walk-through gate provides daytime access only.



FountainA document of ownership to the lot(s) will be provided to the purchaser upon payment in full. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to jointly execute documents of conveyance on behalf of the city to the purchaser(s) of lot(s)/space(s) within the cemetery upon payment in full.

 

Longwood Memorial Gardens is located off of State Road 434 at 929 Grant Street, immediately north after the intersection of Rosedale Avenue. The Office of the City Clerk is the cemetery office and persons desiring to purchase a lot shall do so at the Office of the City Clerk. The City Clerk's Office is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and located at 175 West Warren Avenue. The telephone number for the City Clerk's Office is 407-260-3440.
