H. G. “Butch” Bundy, originally from North Carolina, has lived in the metropolitan Orlando area of Florida since 1978, settling in Longwood in 1990. Mr. Bundy and his wife, Donna, have two daughters, Danielle and Emily. They have two grandchildren, Marcus and MacKenzie. Mr. Bundy is a third generation ceramic tile contractor. He and his wife own a ceramic contracting business, Longwood Tile and Marble.
Mr. Bundy is a resolute volunteer. His involvement with the Central Florida Society for Historical Preservation began with the Longwood Arts and Crafts Festival in 1997; is in his fourth term as President; and Chairman of the Corporate Outreach Committee. He can be found working at every event. Mr. Bundy is a Committeeman for Precinct 72 for the Seminole County Republican Executive Committee and a charter member of the Ronald Reagan Republican Assembly, taking active roles in both whenever possible.
Having served since 1994, Mr. Bundy was elected three years in succession as Chairman of Longwood’s Codes Enforcement Board before his first election to the Longwood City Commission in 1999. Mayor Bundy served two terms as Mayor of Longwood, as well as on the Board of Directors of the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce, Envision Seminole and Joint City/County Advisory Committee. Mr. Bundy has also served as both Chairman and Vice Chair of the Seminole County Mayors and Managers Committee. Currently, Mr. Bundy is also on the Florida League of Cities Municipal Services Committee. He served as Mayor from May to November 2009.
