City Boards and Committees
The City of Longwood has five Boards and Committees:
- Board of Adjustment
- Charter Advisory Committee
- Land Planning Agency
- Florida Municipal Pension Trust Fund Retirement Plan Trust for Firefighters & Police Officers
- Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
Most members of these boards are community citizens who are appointed by the City Commission and supported by City staff. These individuals dedicate and volunteer their time and talents to support and promote the City. Each board has a stated purpose that fits into the framework of City government and provides a link between the citizens and the elected officials.
A Special Magistrate presides over Codes Enforcement cases.
If you are interested in serving on one of the City Boards, please submit a Board Application to the City Clerk's Office at 175 West Warren Avenue.
